Korean railway research institute Corel has successfully tested the world's fastest train. The latest version of Corel's Hypertube train has been able to run at a speed of one thousand kilometers per hour, Corel said.
The train, developed by South Korea, is claimed to be faster than long-haul aircraft from Europe to Asia. The speed of long-haul aircraft from Europe to Asia is 800 to 1000 kilometers per hour.
The institute has stated that it will continue to refine the technology and will have developed tracks and full vehicles by 2022. Similarly, the government is preparing to bring the railway into operation by 2024.
